Our campsite is only 20 minutes from La Rochelle, in the commune of Angoulins-sur-Mer. To the north-west of the department of Charente-Maritime, Angoulins borders the Atlantic Ocean and constitutes an excellent central point to visit the many tourist places of Pertuis d'Antioche, between the Ile de Ré and the Ile d'Oléron.
On the spot, you will be able to discover the history of Angoulins, from the discovery of a necropolis in 1876 on the cliffs of the Chirats which was destroyed by the ocean, while passing by the Siege of La Rochelle in 1628 or the Cardinal of Richelieu establishes its districts in the field of the Bridge of Pierre between Angoulins and Aytré, to finish by the abandonment of the Salt marshes in 1956 to become oyster marshes today.
Near Angoulins, you will find the Château de Buzay or the Vertigo Parc La Rochelle Adventure. Also enjoy the beaches of Chatelaillon, a stone's throw from the campsite.
